We have learned a great deal in the almost 50 years of being in the wholesale plant business. From interior foliage to tropical trees we've done it all. We utilize the knowledge and skills past down from the founders, Jerry and Louise Soowal. From humble beginnings in 1961, East Marsh Nursery was born out of a modest 50 acre nursery in South Ft. Lauderdale. It was here that Jerry designed and erected the first 20' shadehouse. He was an innovator, with visions to revolutionize the growing industry in exporting both large and small plants overseas using refrigerated shipping containers. He trademarked the phrase “acclimatized foliage” and truly changed the face of the nursery industry.

Our expertise in all aspects of growing, acclimatizing and shipping has made East Marsh Nursery a leader in the industry. The first 50'shadehouse was built after relocating to our present location, along with several smaller facilities to house and acclimate the wide variety of plants, trees and palms. We literally invest years in our plants, from seedling to maturity, to ensure the excellence for which we are known. During this time, quality conscious designers, landscape architects, developers and contractors have been specifying East Marsh foliage for projects both domestically and internationally.
